Help Put An End To Bull Fiestas – [Warning – Graphic]

”Animal Equality investigators have infiltrated dozens of bullfights in Spain, documenting the cruelty and suffering animals are submitted to.

Every year in Spain over 16,000 celebrations with animal abuse take place. Animal Equality has documented events such as the cruel becerradas and novilladas, revealing unseen images of violence and brutality.

For several years, Animal Equality activists have travelled through Spanish regions, to investigate what really happens in these bullfighting events to shed light upon these cruel practices which kill thousands of animals each year.

Animals are beaten, stoned, kicked and chased by vehicles until collapsing exhausted whilst small calves, less than two years old, suffer an agonizing and painful death. These are just some of the findings revealed during the investigation which uncover the enormous suffering that bullfights force upon animals.”

”In just a few weeks, a bull will be chased out of the town of Tordesillas by groups of men on foot and horseback wielding long spears as part of Toro de la Vega bull fiesta. The bull will be taunted, goaded and eventually stabbed to death – his killer will be celebrated and awarded. This terrible spectacle is just one of thousands of similar events held in Spain every year that inflict cruelty on bulls in the name of entertainment – events that are opposed by the majority of Spanish citizens.”

Elephants Tortured In India And Thailand

Baby elephants used in the tourism industry in India and Thailand are often torn away from their mothers, caged or tied to a tree, beaten with sticks that have nails attached to their ends, denied access to food or water for days.

Nail-tipped sticks

This treatment is carried out throughout their entire lives (Usually over 50 years).  Some even go blind from the constant hits to their heads.

Elephants and other animals in India and Thailand have little or no rights. Most spend their whole lives chained to the ground, some with sharp spikes around their legs.

The video below is about an elephant, Raju, who cried when rescued from 50 years of slavery.

”For 50 years, Raju the elephant was abused, held shackled in spiked chains and forced to live off scraps from passing tourists. All that changed when he was rescued last weekend by wildlife conservationists who said the animal cried when he was finally set free.”

Please do not ride elephants in India or Thailand and please do not feed the begging elephants. Demand animal rights laws to protect these innocent animals.

You can also sign a petition which demands that these animals are given the rights the deserve.

Patagonias’ Response To PETA Investigation

You may have seen PETAs’ recent video revealing the mistreatment of many sheep which were the sources of Patagonia’s wool.

”A gut-churning PETA video exposé reveals that life is hell for lambs and other sheep exploited for so-called “responsibly sourced” wool. A witness found workers in Argentina hacking into fully conscious lambs, starting to skin some of them while they were still alive and kicking, and otherwise mutilating, abusing, and neglecting lambs and sheep on farms in the Ovis 21 network—Patagonia’s wool supplier.”

Below is the PETA video released in 2015, filmed in 2014.

Update: Patagonia have responded to the released video, going beyond apologizing, and saying that it will not buy more wool until it can extract certain assurances from its supplier.

To thank Patagonia for cutting ties with the wool supplier and making efforts to end their contribution to this type of suffering Click Here.

If It Says ‘Wool’, Leave It On The Shelf

Wool doesn’t seem to be a material associated with abuse, torture and suffering.  However, many videos online have proven that the wool industry may not be as innocent as we would presume.  Below is an example of one of these videos which have exposed the mistreatment of many sheep.

Warning – [Graphic]

Workers are seen punching and kicking lambs, in some cases workers have been caught picking up lambs and throwing them onto the floor at full force. Tails, ears and lumps of flesh are often cut off without any anaesthetics. Some lambs were skinned alive and fully conscious, in full view of other lambs.

These investigations point out how difficult it is for brands to monitor their supply chains, even when their supply chains claim to be ethical.  If you want to be certain that you are not supporting this kind of abuse, avoid buying wool.

You can also put forward your name as a supporter by following this link : http://investigations.peta.org/ovis-lamb-slaughter-sheep-cruelty/#pledge

Wool is an unnecessary product. Lambs are gentle creatures who don’t deserve this kind of treatment or abuse.
