What I Feed My Vegan Dog

I used to believe that feeding a dog a vegan diet was both dangerous and cruel. However, after discovering the truth about the pet food industry and what is actually in commercial dog food nuts, I decided that I had to look into a healthy and cruelty-free way of feeding my dog. If you want to find out more about what’s in these deadly foods, here’s a link to my blog post : The Truth About The Pet Food Industry

So, after doing a bit of research online, I decided to start making my dog homemade food. Here’s what I put together:

2 Cups of Oats

8 Cups of Water

2 Cups of Rice

1 Cup of Linseed

1 Tbsp of 100% Peanut Butter

1 Tbsp of Molasses

1/2 Cup of Soya Milk

2 Carrots

1/2 Bag of Quorn Chicken (Fake Meat)

1/2 Bag of Peas

2 chopped Potatoes

I threw this all into a Saucepan and heated it for about 20 – 25 minutes. I allowed it to cool and served it up (for the first time) last night. To my delight, my dog loved it. She has never been a fan of the usual dog nuts we used to buy her and often didn’t eat them. But she seemed to love the vegan dish I served to her to such an extent that the bowl ended up at the other side of the room by the time she had finished.

I only added the Quorn meat because this brand of fake meat actually has eggs and sometimes milk in the ingredients and I am currently trying to get rid of the numerous bags stuffed into my freezer.

I would recommend that everyone does their research and finds out what exactly is in the food they are feeding their pets.
